My name is Ann Butler, and I am currently a Special Education teacher in the elementary schools at South Pemiscot. I graduated from Caruthersville High School and went on to receive a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas. Years later I decided to do what I should have done in the first place and receive a Business Education certification from Arkansas State. Life led me to Martin, Tennessee where I received a Special Education certification from the University of Tennessee at Martin. Later, I went to the University of Memphis Lambuth campus and added Speech Language Therapist to my certification. I taught all of these areas while living in Tennessee. I taught in Tennessee for 24 years. I am starting my 7th year at South Pemiscot this year 2024-2025. 

I am married to Gary Butler, a retired Advanced EMT from Tennessee. Together we have three children, four grandchildren, one grandson-in-law, three grand dogs, and five grand cats. We love the outdoors and chasing waterfalls. We take many hiking trips to the TN mountains and have recently learned of new areas in southern Illinois that are gorgeous.
