Letter from the principal

I am Roland Johnson. It's a great day to be a South Pemiscot Bulldog! Here at South Pemiscot, we want our students to remember the people who believe in them. I'm excited to be Principal at our Elementary school. I am married to someone who believes in me, and I believe in her. I can't do this job on my own. Gwendolyn Johnson has always been a great blessing to me. 

This job can be hard, but our number one priority is our students. You must love what you do, and I love being a Bulldog! We talk about the Bulldog Way, and that means it's not about who's right but about what is right. The Bulldog Way means together we will make this school year great and one to remember. This community has been great to me and my family. This job gives me a reason to get up every morning. 

Going forward, let's treat each other with respect, take responsibility for our actions, and contribute something positive to South Pemiscot Elementary. Parents and guardians, you play a crucial role in the academic success of our children. I encourage and challenge you to take an active role in our school events and work with our teachers to maintain open communication with our Bulldog family.
